  • Video loops: Documenting the voices of farmers (‘feed forward’), organizing meeting with relevant organization to discuss the video, recording these response and showing them to the original communities (‘feed back’).
  • Community Learning Centers: CLICK has supported the establishment of 21 centers in 6 rural districts. Led and managed by villagers, with support from young volunteers, the Learning Centre provides access to information while also documenting local knowledge.
  • Wisdom bag: More than 100 items of print materials and videos on agriculture, forestry, natural resources and extension methodologies are made available for purchase. CLICKS also consider discounts up to 90% for poor people and organizations working with the poor.
  • Information Clubs: similar to the community learning center, the information club is for students at the National University. CLICK has supported 5 Clubs in different faculties. Activities managed by volunteers include radio broadcasts, library week, debates and drama, comment boxes and information boards.
  • Thaibaan research: Community based action research with 15 communities in Savannakhet and Champasack province with cooperation with Oxfam and CPWF
  • Lao08: A project to promote cultures of ethnic groups in Laos, funded by SDC
  • SARUFP: a project to promote safe and responsible use of Facebook, funded by the UK embassy.
  • Documentation of lessons for projects such as Rural Income through Sustainable Energy (RISE), Integrated Upland Development In Nonghet (UDIN), Sustainable Agriculture and Market Development Project (SAMAD)

We currently host sites for many government, international organizations and local CSOs such as Northen Agricultural and Forestry College, Lao Font for National Contruction, Gender Development Association, Sustainable Agriculture and Environment Association, INGO network, Land Issue Working Group, Quality of Life Association, Dongsavath Children Development Center and CIDSE laos.

  • Free online discussion group on rural development. The LaoFAB and LaoLink groups have more than 5,000 members, who have posted more than 30,000 messages.
